Roughly 3 hours per week of practice (Tue/Thu, 5:30–7:00 PM) from June 2 through July 23, plus the Georgia Shootout tournament on June 20–21, plus 2–3 Saturday morning scrimmages scheduled somewhere in June or July.
Because we take the week of July 4 off, you're looking at about 14 practice sessions total across the 8-week season, one tournament weekend, and a handful of Saturday scrimmages. Missing practices happens — no penalty — but we’d love to see your player at as many as possible.
First practice: Tuesday, June 2, 2026, 5:30–7:00 PM at Gainesville High School.
Last practice: Thursday, July 23, 2026.
Off week: No practices the week of July 4th (no practice Tue June 30 or Thu July 2).
Every other Tue/Thu between June 2 and July 23 is a go, 5:30–7:00 PM. We’ll email registered families the full date list + any changes before the season starts.
Our primary field is Gainesville High School. Because field availability in the summer isn’t always guaranteed, we may occasionally practice at Brenau University or Francis Meadows — both are about 5 minutes from GHS. Any location change will be communicated to registered families in advance, never same-day unless there’s a weather issue.
We’re planning 2–3 scrimmages on Saturday mornings against local clubs from neighboring counties. Exact dates and opponents aren’t locked in yet — these are coordinated club-to-club and typically get confirmed in June. As soon as we have them, every registered family will be notified. Our goal is to give players real game reps, not just practice.
The Georgia Shootout is the longest-running lacrosse tournament in the state, held Saturday and Sunday, June 20–21, 2026 at Allen Creek Soccer Complex right here in Gainesville. It’s the one tournament we’re playing this summer — included in every registration, on our home turf, no travel required.
No. Beginners are encouraged to join — we coach all skill levels and will work with your player to improve over the summer. If you’ve never picked up a stick before, this is a good place to start.
Players from outside Hall County are welcome. Email info@hallcountylax.com if you have questions before registering.
Yes. Come to a practice or a scrimmage as a guest before you register — no pressure. Email info@hallcountylax.com to set it up.
We can work something out on a case-by-case basis. Email info@hallcountylax.com and we’ll find something that works — we don’t want cost to be the reason a player sits out.
